MarketingAccording to marketing guru Philip Kotler, marketing is a scope of activities aimed to meet needs of customers and getting value in return. Beginning a business one must think on how it will serve people firstly and how it will meet the demand. Only in this case business activities can be successful and bring profit.

Studying marketing is a first step to understand market and make money through selling products and services. The marketing science consists of many components: researches, analytics, planning, advertising, promotions, public relations, sales and so on and so forth.

1.Marketing researches. It is one of the initial marketing activities that include market research, competitors research, customers research and many others. The main goal is to get a deep understanding of where we are going to sell, to whom, what can be opportunities on the particular market as well as threats the company can face there.

2.Analyzing internal and external factors. Any research is useless if the results are not analyzed by the professionals in order to adjust companies strength and capacities to the existing environment where the company intends to operate.

3.Marketing planning. Elaborating strategy and creating detailed plan of marketing activities is crucial for a business success. Without strategy all the activities are useless and give uncertain results.

4.Promotion. One of the most creative sphere of marketing where advertising, PR, sales work together in order to achieve goals and occupy targeted market niche.

Marketing education is the first step to career of marketing manager or even marketing director. Studying marketing in ever changing market conditions is a real challenge but modern schools have a flexible programs based mostly on case studies and practical trainings in order to go with the times.
